Mya at six months |
Some photos I took
on a recent trip to Denver
Mya, 6 months old now at the end of September, is a very delightfully
happy and healthy little 'peanut' who really resembles her daddy Scott as
a baby. As you can see from the pictures, she makes her big sister Sierra
[5 yrs] look very grown up. These photos were shot early one morning at
swim class - that is Mya floating on her back in the pool. Both girls are
in an ISR [Infant Swim Research] program that starts babies as early as 6
months of age, to learn water survival. Sierra started at 2 years old and
is accomplished at diving, snorkling as well as doing the breast stroke
and back stroke. Mya has learned to flip over and float on her back when
in the water. Mom, Chandra is up at 5:15 on swim mornings to get everyone
ready and out the door to drive down the mountain to 7 am swim classes and
then go on to take Sierra to her kindergarten classes in Denver. Sierra
loves to learn and besides school and swimming, she has her orange belt in
Tae-Kwon-Do and takes gymnastics. It is definitely a busy life they lead!
